I told them I wouldn't need to know what would happen if a neutral atom looses an electron in real life. Why be a busybody? These atoms can take care of themselves.
This score is actually good news. It means I haven't lost any knowledge since the mid-1980s. I could still make a diagram of a cell with macaroni and dried 7-bean soup mix.
